⛰️ Our 6th & 7th graders returned from Hume Lake today with memories made, friendships strengthened, and time spent growing closer to God. Through worship focused on the Psalms and the life of David, students reflected on God’s mercy, faithfulness, and the hope He brings. They also enjoyed plenty of outdoor adventure, from rope swings to Gaga ball! Overnight field trips are often highlights of our students’ time at SJCS, and we’re so grateful for our annual Walk-A-Thon, which helps fund the majority of overnight field trip costs! 🚶‍♀️ You can support the Walk-A-Thon at https://secure.qgiv.com/event/2026sjcswalk-a-thon/ and by attending TOMORROW Saturday, October 10 @9am-1:30pm. #SJCS #HisTigers #activelearners #overnightfieldtrip #spiritualretreat #middleschool

This week, we kicked off one of our favorite JK-8 traditions: Buddies! Students got to know each other through Buddy Bingo, a fun way to start building connections. For our older students, it’s a chance to be a positive example and share their experiences. And for our younger Tigers, there’s something pretty special about having an older student to look up to, learn from, and spend time with. We’re so excited for another year of these connections! 🧡💙

Our staff retreat last Friday was a full day of worship, service, connection, and a reminder of our calling as Messengers. 🕊️ We heard from Dr. Phillip Lee from Hope for Fremont, who shared on our theme verse and reminded us of the beautiful opportunity we have to invest in our students, share the Good News, and help shape disciples. “And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’” Romans 10:15 We also had the chance to bless San Jose Christian Reformed Church, who hosted us for the day, through a service project. And of course, we made time for a little friendly competition with our annual Golden Challenge! 🏆 #SJCS #HisTigers #Messengers #Romans1015 #StaffRetreat2026 #ChristianEducation #GoldenChallenge

🙏🇺🇸 See You At The Pole was a special time of prayer and community yesterday as our JK–8 students gathered on the blacktop to lift their prayers to God. Led by our middle school student leaders, students prayed for our world, our nation, our school, our families, and one another. We’re grateful for a school community that makes space to pause, pray, and praise God together, and for our students who boldly lead the way. #SJCS #SYATP2026 #SYATP #HisTigers #studentleadership #christianschool #GrowingBelievers
