Middle school is a time of change! As students transition from dependence to independence, they rightfully take responsibility for their own education. They also continue to take more ownership of their spiritual life and relationship with Christ.
Our middle school program is designed to encourage, guide, and challenge students as they take these steps toward adulthood. With a fully-integrated Biblical worldview, high academic standards, and a breadth of enrichment opportunities, our middle school program prepares students to be lifelong learners and world-changers.
A Transformative Experience
Middle school is also the time to try and experience new things and discover new passions. Within our intimate, Christian community, SJCS students thrive, because they can try new things with our no-cut sports, choice electives, student council, and fine arts. The middle school curriculum is designed specifically for this age: the transition from childhood to adolescence. At SJCS, your student is an active partner in the educational process, developing the skills to be a capable, independent learner.

Electives
Electives are a vital part of excellent Christian education at SJCS as a way for students to worship God, discover their uniqueness, steward their gifts, and grow in community. Each quarter, students choose from a rotating set of electives to complete their academic schedule.
Recent course offerings include: Geometry, Drama, Spanish, Boss Club (business skills), and Visual Art. To learn about this year's elective offerings, please contact our team.
