About the Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser

The annual SJCS Walk-A-Thon (WAT) is San Jose Christian's only student fundraiser of the year, organized by the CPTA. The entire SJCS Community, including friends, family, alumni, and neighbors, are invited to contribute and participate as we raise money for our school.

Funds raised from the Walk-A-Thon support the following SJCS activities and programs:

  • Student Activity Fund

This fund supports preschool - 8th grade in areas such as classroom activities, music program, playground equipment and special projects. This fund also contributes to the Learning Center, Library, P.E. equipment and single-day field trips.

  • Multi-Day Field Trip Fund

Help subsidize the cost for multi-day field trips which help our students grow their responsibility and knowledge of the world around them. These trips include: 4th grade gold country, 5th grade Mission Springs outdoor education, 6th & 7th grade spiritual retreat / Catalina Island trip, and 8th grade Washington D.C. trip.

  • Christian Parent Teacher Association (CPTA)

The CPTA supports teachers (i.e. class supplies, Staff Appreciation Week, Parent Education, Coffee Cart) and school-wide events.
