Jamie Bakelis

Professional Biography

After graduating with an Associates degree and completing a dental hygiene program in the East Bay, I worked 15+ years as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Danville, CA and occasionally here in San Jose. In the last couple of years, I switched gears to become a stay-at-home mom. Loving any volunteer opportunity, whether at this school or church communities, I have stayed plugged in, eventually leading me to this position in the school office.

Personal Biography

I am a California native, born and raised in Modesto, CA. I worked and lived in Walnut Creek, CA before marrying my husband in a Big Fat Greek wedding in 2008 and moving to San Jose. I have two wonderful children, Yianna and Pavlos, who have both attended this school since 2012. We enjoy sports activities, especially soccer, as a player, spectator, or coach. We also enjoy being with family and participating in all the Greek functions our hearts can take.

Christian Philosophy of Education 

I believe God provides through a community working together to support a child. With the impact of this school community, I've seen that it is not only one person that is responsible for a child's growth in Christ. We can impact and guide each other's spiritual growth. Each individual is wonderously made, and that encourages me to bring joy to someone’s day and a blessing in their future. Seeing the enrichment my own children have received in their faith journey, brings me closer to Him and to the person He calls me to be.
