Elyssia Tingley

Professional Biography
I began as a behavior technician doing ABA therapy for children with special needs. From there, I worked in various private schools as an interim teacher (4th and 5th grades) and K-5 substitute. Since then, I have had the honor of teaching full-time in my own 2nd grade classroom. I expect to graduate from Grand Canyon University in Spring 2026 with a Masters in Elementary Education.
Personal Biography
I have a Bachelor’s in theater and spend every opportunity on stage. On weekends, I sometimes perform as a children’s party princess. I am a conservatory-certified gu-zheng harpist and play professionally with a Chinese music ensemble. One of my favorite things to do is to eat delicious food from around the world.
Christian Philosophy of Education
I believe that God has blessed each student with their own unique talents, interests, and callings. Because of this, it is my goal to incorporate as many different learning styles into the classroom as possible. Ultimately, I see my job as an opportunity to share how wonderful our God is and how loved the students are. I aim to foster a love of learning, a growth mindset, and the fruit of the Spirit.
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:14
