Professional Biography

I have had the pleasure of working with children for many years.  In 2007, I received a B.A. in Child Development from San Jose State University.  From there, I went to work with K-5th grade students at a non-profit after-school program at Willow Glen Elementary.  After several years in a  leadership role at the after-school program, I decided to step away to focus on starting a family.  Since then, I have been blessed to have the opportunity to volunteer in my children’s classrooms both in preschool and in elementary school.

Personal Biography

I was born and raised in San Jose, CA and have never left.  I met my wonderful husband here and we were married in 2008.  I’m a mom of two amazing girls, both in elementary school here at SJCS.  Aside from being a mom, I also love to bake!  The kitchen is a happy place for me and I love to cook, bake and entertain.

Christian Philosophy of Education

When working with children, I believe it is important to help them understand that we are all created by God and in that creation we were all given different strengths and gifts. It brings me so much joy to help young children discover what gift God has given them. When young minds are given the opportunity to learn and grow in a faith-based environment, their connection to God and their faith is that much greater. Teaching them how to use their strengths not only in the classroom, but out in the world, is so important. While working at a Christian institution, I hope to support the next generation to be strong and brave in their faith.
