Rebecca Subity

Professional Biography

I graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.A. in English and a minor in Religious Studies. I was then employed at Cengage Learning Publishing in Belmont, CA, for seven years where I worked on the editorial and technology teams of the Biology and Math lists to publish college textbooks. I was employed at Cengage until I gave birth to my son, Caleb, and I started my years as a stay­-at-­home mom.

Personal Biography

I was born and raised in San Jose, CA, in a family of five. I have an identical twin sister and a younger brother. I met my fabulous husband, Sam, at my job at Cengage (he interviewed me, and I got the job!). We were married in 2002 and have two wonderful children, Caleb and Abby, who attend SJCS. My family and I are active members of Venture Christian Church where I am involved in the Stephen Ministry as a Supervising Stephen Minister, and I have been in leadership with Venture’s MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group for two years. I enjoy hiking with my family, seeing movies with my husband, biking, reading, doing puzzles, and baking.

Christian Philosophy of Education

The students at SJCS are immersed in an environment where they are taught academics within a Christian context. This is extremely valuable for our children as they are figuring out what they believe and how they want to live. Being able to participate in guiding the students at SJCS towards Christ is a huge blessing to me, and I’m grateful to be a part of this community.
