Professional Biography

I graduated from Fresno State and went on to earn my California Teaching Credential through San Jose State University. After two years teaching in the Berryessa Union School District, I focused on homeschooling my own children through 1st grade. Returning to the workforce, I spent the next 15 years at Milpitas Christian School in a variety of positions, which allowed me to enjoy seeing students grow from TK through 8th grade. Most of my professional years have been teaching grades 4–8, with an emphasis in Math and Technology.

Personal Biography

I was born near Toronto, Canada, and moved to California in kindergarten. From an invitation to a college-age church group, I found both Jesus and my husband. Following university, we moved to the Bay Area, where our two children were born and raised. We’ve been blessed to call Calvary Assembly in Milpitas our home church for more than 20 years. I especially enjoy traveling, home improvement, and in-depth Bible study.

Christian Philosophy of Education

As a young adult, my whole perspective changed when I got to know Jesus. Now, as a Christian educator, I want to encourage my students’ love for God by helping them see how He is involved in everything, from relationships and communication, to the patterns, logic, and order we see in numbers and shapes. Since our students are fellow image-bearers of God, we teachers are privileged to be part of the team equipping them for the good works God has prepared in advance for them to do (Ephesians 2:10).
