The SJCS Choir provides an extracurricular opportunity for students to develop vocal skills. Choir is open to any interested middle school student. Rehearsal is held two mornings per week before school. Rehearsal topics include breath support, proper singing posture, tone production, part-singing, concert etiquette, and performance skills. Special emphasis is given to singing as part of an ensemble. The SJCS Middle School Choir performs in two evening concerts during the year and is requested to sing at various school events. Throughout the year students experience and see music as God's gift to be enjoyed and used for His glory.
