
SJCS Association Meeting

Please Note: The following letter was emailed to all Association Members from the 19-20 school year on August 19th, 2020.
Dear SJCS Association Member & Future Members,
On Wednesday, September 2nd at 7 PM, the SJCS Association will be holding its annual business meeting. All members of the community are invited and welcome to attend. The meeting is tentatively planned for the SJCS Auditorium but given the current health situation and social distancing protocols, this entire meeting will likely be held via video conferencing instead. The meeting link and dial-in details will be sent out closer to the meeting date (Please Note: Submit your Application for Membership to receive the meeting link).
Business being discussed will include confirmation of new Board of Trustee members and a vote for the proposed budget for the 2020-21 school year. Members from the Board of Trustees and, Head of School, Mr. Hucks will give a report on their work this year, a financial update, the SJCS Strategic Plan, and plans for the next 3-5 years. A copy of the meeting agenda is attached to this email.
If you are interested in contributing as a voting member to the operations of the school, we ask that you renew/apply for your Association membership for the new 2020-21 term if you have not done so yet.
Information about the Association and a copy of the application form can be found below. If you prefer, you can complete the online application form. Once your application is completed & submitted, the $10 membership dues should be turned in at the SJCS school office. Alternatively, you can email Tanya Garside (tgarside@sjchristian.org) about paying by credit card.
Please note that in order to vote at this meeting, both the application and the dues must be submitted prior to the start of this meeting. (*Since you were an SJCS Association member for either the 2019 or 2020 terms, you are also receiving the Association meeting materials with this email.)
SJCS is thankful for the years of commitment from so many current and alumni parents along with others who are supporters of Christian education.
