Principal Pow Wow | "Dealing with Grief"
“Good” Grief
Our beloved character, Charlie Brown, famously moans “good grief” in the struggles of his comic strip life. Grief touches each of our lives at different times and in different ways. During the pandemic, many of us have experienced grief or watched a loved one experience grief. What does grief feel like? While grief does not feel good, we can learn healthy or “good” ways to work through the feelings that come with grief. Take a look at this Principal Pow Wow with Mrs. Baham and her friends Mrs. V, Ms. Basl, and Mrs. Singh as they talk to kids and parents about working through grief.
In times of grief we can stand on God’s promises which are sure and true. “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23). “I love you, LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold” (Psalm 18:1-2). May God meet you where you are today and sing over you with His tender love.
