After graduating high school, I took several child development classes at De Anza Community College. These courses intensified my love of teaching children, and helped me serve my church in their early childhood development education department for four years. I am truly blessed to be a part of this family of educators, and look forward to the future I have in teaching children. Currently, I am working towards a Bachelors in Nursing. I plan on having an emphasis in pediatrics.
The first three years of my life I spent in Nigeria, where I was born. I then immigrated to the United States in 1996. My dad fell in love with the California sun, and, twenty years later, we still live in this beautiful state. I frequently take hikes to enjoy the beauty of God's creation and LOVE to read. My three younger brothers (two of which are twins), were born shortly after me, and continue to be a source of inspiration in my life. I now call San Jose Christian my home, and consider the wonder staff to be part of my extended family.
Romans 8:28 continues to guide me as a christian educator: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." I find it amazing that God, through his infinite wisdom and unconditional love, has called me to live out my purpose by loving his children. Though I may never see the entirety of his plan while living on this earth, I am blessed and humbled to be allowed the opportunity to serve Him by teaching children. He is a good father and I am his beloved daughter, and He challenges me to recognize that each child has a specific purpose and should be loved unconditionally. How beautiful a journey I take each year learning about that purpose in their lives!
