Since the ripe old age of 5, my dream job was to be a veterinarian. However, that all changed after graduating from high school. After graduating, I attended West Valley College starting in 2006. It was not until this time that God made it evident that I should be in the childcare field. Upon finishing all the required coursework, I applied and got accepted to San Jose State University. I was already working at another Christian school as an floating aide in the nursery through Kindergarten class. In May 2013, I graduated from San Jose State with a BA in CHAD (Child and Adolescent Development) with a Multiple Subjects Teaching emphasis. In August 2014, I started working at San Jose Christian and have been in the childcare field for almost 10 years now.
I am a San Jose native, come from a family of 4, and am the oldest of 2 daughters. I also come from a family who has a strong Christian background. Both my father Kelly and mother Jennifer are firm and strong believers of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that, both my sister Lydia and I have grown up in a healthy Christian environment and have accepted Jesus as our Savior. At my church, I serve as an usher and a Sunday School teacher for the 2 and 3 year old class. When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, reading books, trying new foods, and much more. I also love spending time with my 8 year-old rabbit Kerri.
Christian Philosophy of Education
Psalm 139:14 states that "I am fearfully and wonderfully made." I believe that as a Christian educator, it is my responsibility to make everyone feel just so. To model that, I treat all the children in my class in a loving and kind way. It is my desire to create a safe environment where both child and parent feel comfortable and at peace. I hope to pass on God's love to the children so that they can grow in His image.
