I graduated college with a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in education. My first job in high school was at a preschool. I then worked my way through college babysitting, nannying and as a preschool teacher. After graduating college, I did administrative work and then 16 years ago I returned to my passion and started working with children again.
I was born and raised in Kansas and lived there until I married my husband. We then moved to the San Jose Area where I have been ever since. 18 years after getting married we were blessed with a baby girl who is now a black belt in karate and just recently graduated high school. In my spare time, I enjoy seeing the sights in California with my family, playing games, listening to worship music and doing crossword puzzles. On Sundays, I love worshipping, singing and praising our Lord at church. It is the highlight of my week. I also enjoy volunteering with the children's worship hour.
Christian Philosophy of Education
My philosophy in Christian Education is to set an example of Christ-like love. Always show them gentleness and caring in everything you do. My favorite activity with the babies is to sing Christian songs and read children's Bible stories to them.
Deuteronomy 11:19 says: "teach them (the commands to Love the Lord your God and to serve Him with all your heart) to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up". We are never too young to learn!
