I am currently attending William Jessup University and working on the completion of my BS and MA. I have worked with children aged infant-17 years for more than seventeen years through childcare, after school and summer camps. I specialize in developing after-school programs and I'm very excited in making a wonderful difference at SJCS. I have gained multiple skills in management, program development, and community service. After working for the YMCA for 9 years, in summer 2015 I excitedly accepted the position of Director of Extended Care and Summer Camp at San Jose Christian School.
I was born in Salem, Oregon, and moved to California at the ripe age of two with my mother and brother. I have lived in Silicon Valley my whole life since and have loved the diversity it brings. My daughter, Heaven, is attending school at SJCS and she loves every bit of it. I enjoy camping, the SF Giants, playing sports, singing, attending church, walking my two dogs, going to Disney Land, and spending time with family and close friends.
Christian Philosophy of Education
I love when Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." If we continue to embrace all children as God graciously made them, we can then help them develop their love for Christ. Each child has his or her own skill set created just for them by God, and I love being able to teach children through crafts, projects, and activities. I believe that we are all put on this earth for God’s greater purpose and mine is to help bring the Word of God to children in a fun and creative way. When we all work together in this process of teaching, guiding, and serving one another, then the Love of the Lord shines through each and every one of us.
