I graduated from Santa Clara University in 2007 with a degree in Liberal Arts and a minor in Urban Education. From there, I attended graduate school at San Jose State University, where I received my Early Childhood Special Education teaching credential. In 2011 I also received a Master’s Degree in Education, with an emphasis in Special Education. Before coming to San Jose Christian, I managed a preschool for children with Autism. I know direct the Preschool full time and teach Music and Movement every week for my preschoolers.
I grew up locally and am the second of four girls. My family lives close by and I love spending time with them! My husband, Grant, and I met back in 2006 and were married three years later. We have two young kids, Cohen and Morgan, who attend SJCS. When I am not running around with my little people, I like to watch cooking shows or go on a date with Grant, and I even love to throw a good party once in a while. We attend Westgate Church in Saratoga.
Christian Philosophy of Education
It is my belief that God is to be of upmost importance in our lives. A child’s educational experience should be full of ways to see, love, and experience God. We are to here to help the students grow and to prepare them for a Christian life. I hope to set an example for my students in how to not only value their academic achievements, but to also embrace the presence of God in their own lives.
